This country house, restored in 1996, is located almost opposite Landhuis Ascension on the road to Westpunt. The Dokterstuin plantation was already in use in the 17th century. The country house probably dates from the 18th century. In the second half of the 19th century it was owned by the government, which gave small parts of the land to former slaves. In this way the government hoped to stimulate agriculture. Now ther is a creole restaurant which very popular with the locals.
The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
On Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
