Located in the western part of Otrobanda, you will find the Curaçao Museum in a colonial-style building. This extensive museum portrays the geographic history of Curaçao and displays utensils of the Indians from before the time of Columbus. Also maps and cartographic representations of America and the Caribbean, professions practiced by Afro-Curaçaoans after the abolition of slavery, their faith and way of life, a traditional plantation kitchen, antique mahogany furniture (18th and 19th centuries) and paintings of local and you can see international artists there.
The museum is open from Tuesday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
