It was in "the Octagon" that the Venezuelan freedom fighter Simón Bolívar spent several months gaining ideas and power to bring his troops back together to bring down the Spanish colonial rule in South America for good.
The "Octagon" is set up as a small museum in memory of the connection between Curaçao and Simón Bolívar. The romantic setting, in a unique combination with the almost tangible historical ambiance, makes the "Octagon" a beautiful location for holding elegant wedding receptions, special gatherings, music performances and poetry evenings.
The octagon is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 10 AM to 12 PM.
